This Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM) instructor-led training course is designed for experienced agile practitioners. In addition, this course will prepare you to take the DASSM exam and immediately use Disciplined Agile within your leadership role.

Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master Training Information
In this Senior ScrumMaster training, you will learn how to:
- Successfully lead one or several agile teams.
- Accelerate your ability to manage high-profile initiatives that are critical to enterprise success.
- Take business agility to the next level by applying agile and lean techniques in various situations, including non-software teams.
- Dive into the DA tool kit to develop a comprehensive understanding of its hundreds of practices and strategies and the trade-offs of applying them.
- Learn how to apply the DA tool kit to guide your teams in choosing and evolving your best way of working (WoW) in any situation.
- Use the DA tool kit to solve complex challenges commonly encountered in software and operational business teams.
- Learn how to lead agile teams through key enterprise activities, such as planning, coordinating, and reporting, and be ready to show improvements in areas where your organization is struggling.
- Understand how to improve value delivery for your customers by empowering others in your organization, nurturing emotional intelligence, and resolving conflicts.
Training Prerequisites
Two years of experience working in an agile team, ideally in a leadership role such as Disciplined Agile scrum master, scrum master, product owner, or architecture owner.
An understanding of the fundamentals of the DA tool kit by having done one or more of the following:
- Taken the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course, Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Certification Training
- Taken The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course
- Read section 1 or more of Choose Your WoW
Certification Information
Attendees must be present (either virtually or in-person) for the entire course duration to receive certification candidacy.
The DASSM exams are administered through Pearson VUE. Each exam is an online, non-proctored test including 50 multiple-choice questions. The total exam appointment is 120 minutes (about 2 hours): 30 minutes for the introduction, tutorial, and survey and 90 minutes (about 1 and a half hours) for completing the exam.

After your DASSM course has finished, your instructor will provide your name to the DASSM certifying body. Upon receipt, an exam access link will be emailed directly to you. Please note it can take up to a few business days following the training for the student to receive the exam link.
Yes, you must first complete the Disciplined Agile (DA) workshop course before taking the desired certification exam.
The exam is administered online through Pearson VUE. You will need to log in to your PMI (Project Management Institute) account and access the link to the exam from the myPMI dashboard:
- Visit https://pmi.org
- Log into your myPMI profile
- Click your name at the top right-hand corner to open a dropdown menu
- Click on Certifications
- On the left-hand side, click on My Micro-Credentials
- From there, the screen should populate your status, and you will see a purple Exam Details button
You must have a PMI ID with a valid mailing address and valid phone number. This is required information for any candidate to test through Pearson VUE. If the address and phone number are not completed, the student will not be able to take the exam.
The DASM/DASSM exam is non-proctored, so you may take it at any time of day (or night) when you are ready. You will have 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) from the time you receive the exam link to take the exam, and you may retake it two more times within those 30 days if you do not pass the first attempt. However, there will be a $150 exam retake fee.
Yes, your DASSM certification is good for one year. To renew the certification, you must earn 7 PDUs (Professional Development Units) in agile topics and pay the $50 US (United States) renewal fee.
