Ajitha Srinivasan

Ajitha Srinivasan

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

With over 20 years of corporate experience spanning Pre-Sales, Sales, Project and Program Management, Agile Leadership, I recently transitioned into entrepreneurship, to tap into my passion for teaching, instructing IT subjects as well as practicing and teaching ThetaHealing(r) meditation technique. I am also an Artist - both Performing and Visual. When I am not teaching or practicing healing, I am either singing or creating some form of Visual art.

What do you love most about being an instructor?

Meeting new people and learning from them. As much as we think an Instructor must know more than our students, I believe that being a teacher allows me the opportunity to learn more while sharing my experience with others.

What attributes do you take with you every day to work, and find the most important in succeeding?

My positive attitude. I look at everything as if it is happening exactly as it should. i.e. there are no accidents, coincidences or mistakes. There ae no mistakes, only lessons.

I am here with a purpose to serve; hence my positive attitude looks for lessons (I call them gifts) in every situation so I can continuously improve and be a better version of myself every day while serving others.

What is your biggest motivator?

Service. My primary motivation is to serve. My forms of service may vary - i.e. when I teach, I serve through sharing my knowledge and experience. When I sing or create art, I serve through the Joy that I experience in those moments. When I am practicing a healing session, I serve by helping the client find their own answers.

Who has been the biggest influence of your success?

We all have influences and inspirations in our lives. But if we do not take any action despite being inspired, then that inspiration becomes a non-influence. There is one individual in my life, who not only inspired and influenced me but also gave the impetus, empowering me to act by following my heart, finding my truth and pursuing my dreams. I am forever grateful for their presence in my life and for shaping me to be who I am today.

Who are/have been your female icons and role models?

Any woman (or any individual for that matter), who overcomes her limitations, is courageous enough to follow her heart, who stands tall for who she is, who is strong enough to love herself despite the judgements of the society, is a role model for me.

What does Women's History Month mean to you? Is it important that we celebrate have one?

Our society has been Patriarchal for a long time and the purpose to have a Womens History month imay be to bring a balance to the tilt in the society. I hope to see a balanced society where we are all treated equals regardless of our gender, race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion or orientation, in my life time and may be play my part in creating the same.

What advice would you give to any young woman today?

To be unapologetically authentic and fiercely love herself.

Thank you so much Ajitha for your insight, and all you do for Learning Tree and your attendees!
