Frequently Asked Questions
You can take the CISM, CISA, CRISC, and CGEIT exams before meeting the full experience requirements, but certification requires verified professional experience.
- CISM requires five years of information security management experience across at least three of the four domains.
- CISA requires five years of professional information systems auditing, control, or security experience.
- CRISC requires three years of professional experience across at least two of its four domains.
- CGEIT requires candidates to demonstrate five or more years of experience managing, serving in an advisory or oversight role, and/or otherwise supporting the governance of the IT-related contribution to an enterprise.
In all cases, candidates must pass the exam and apply for certification within five years.
Yes. Learning Tree’s ISACA certification training includes the certification exam voucher, and this is presented as a core programme feature across the ISACA certification portfolio.
These certifications are designed as advanced, role-aligned extensions of the core ISACA portfolio for professionals working with enterprise AI. AAIA focuses on AI audit and assurance, AAISM focuses on AI security management, and AAIR focuses on AI risk. Together, they help teams build specialised capability across AI governance, security, and risk rather than replacing certifications like CISA, CISM, or CRISC.
CPE totals vary by course and format. ISACA generally awards CPE based on active participation and course type. For example, CISA course lists 23 NASBA CPE credits for live, in-class training. ISACA also requires certified professionals to earn 120 CPE hours over a three-year period, with at least 20 per year, to maintain certification. Learn more at ISACA Continuing Education Center.
Yes. Learning Tree supports multi-cert bundling for team and enterprise training, including CISM, CRISC, and CISA. This can be paired with private cohort delivery, team pricing, and enterprise planning support for GRC, audit, and security teams.
